1.
Remove existing window do not remove frame or brick mold.
2.
Reinforce existing brick mold to existing frame with 2 1/2"
wood screws every 10"
3.
Fasten wood spacer to window frame with #10 wood screws so that wood
spacer is flush with brick mold (see illustration 1).
4.
Apply a continuous bead of caulking in the center of brick mold [A]
(refer to cross-section) and a second bead of caulking where the mold meets
the brick [B] - all around frame.
5.
Insert unit firmly against brick mold. (see
illustration 2) and fasten unit to brick mold with 2 1/2" screws every
10" from inside of unit (see cross section). Note: screw goes into
brick mold diagonally.
6.
Apply a continuous bead of caulking or silicone on the inside where
vinyl meets brick mold or wood frame [C].
7.
Apply another bead of caulking continuously around the exterior
where brick meets greenhouse window [D].
