The windows and/or doors installed on the premises at the address specified
in this Warranty Certificate are warranted by Vinyl Windows & Doors
Corp. for a period of 20 years from date of installation to the Property
Owner against any defects in material and workmanship occurring as a direct
result of the manufacturing process, as to the structural parts and
mechanical components of the basic window unit, under normal use and
service, subject to the terms and conditions contained in this Warranty
Certificate.
Fiberglass Screening 10 Year Warranty:
If the Vinyl Windows and Doors installed have fiberglass cloth screening,
Vinyl Windows & Doors Corp. warrants that for a period of 10 years from
date of insulation, the screen cloth will not rust, rot, or stain, under
normal use and service.
General Provisions:
Any claims for defects under this warranty should be submitted in writing
to Vinyl Windows & Doors Corp., promptly after discovery, describing
the defect claimed and referring to this certificate number and date of
issuance, together with proof of purchase. Allow a reasonable time for
inspection purposes. If after inspection by Vinyl Windows & Doors
Corp., it is determined that the claim is valid in accordance with the
provisions of this warranty, Vinyl Windows & Doors Corp. agrees at its
option to repair or replace any defective part or component without charge
which shall be shipped to Vinyl Windows & Doors Corp., transportation
charges prepaid. Vinyl Windows & Doors, Corp. will pay transportation
charges back to the Property Owner's premises. The original warranty period
shall not be extended by any such repair or replacement, but the remaining
warranty time period shall continue in effect and be applicable under the
terms and conditions of this warranty to the repaired or replaced part or
component of the windows. Vinyl Windows & Doors Corp. reserves the
right to discontinue or change any Vinyl Windows & Doors Corp. windows
or doors as manufactured. If the part or component of the window or door
originally installed is not available and Vinyl Windows & Doors Corp.
determines to make replacement, Vinyl Windows & Doors Corp. shall have
the right to substitute such part or component designated by Vinyl Windows
& Doors Corp. to be of equal quality and price. This warranty only
covers manufacturing defects as specified herein and does not include
defects or damages attributable to installation, normal weathering or
defects or damages caused by: accidents or fire, flood or other Acts of
God, or by vandalism, riot or civil disorder, misuse, abuse or harmful
fumes, vapors or chemical pollutants in the atmosphere, mildew, building
settlement or structural failure of walls or foundations, or if subject to
stresses resulting from localized heat which causes excessive temperature
differentials over the glass surfaces or ages, or any other causes or
occurrences beyond Vinyl Windows & Doors Corp.'s control. Condensation
on windows or doors which may occur as the natural result of humidity
within the house or building area, and interior/exterior temperature
differential, does not indicate a defect in the window or door and would
not be included in this warranty. This warranty is valid only if genuine
Vinyl Windows & Doors Corp. windows or doors are used, but shall be void if window or door accessory products not manufactured by
Vinyl Windows & Doors Corp. are installed which cause defects to
occur in the windows or doors. This warranty shall be transferable to
future property owners within set period of time and is limited to material
costs of repair or replacement for defective part or component and return
transportation cost, as provided, and does not include broken glass or torn
screening.
THE WARRANTY STATEMENTS CONTAINED IN THIS CERTIFICATE SET FORTH THE ONLY
EXPRESS WARRANTIES EXTENDED BY VINYL WINDOWS & DOORS CORP. FOR THE
WINDOWS AND/OR DOORS, AND THE PROVISIONS HEREOF SHALL CONSTITUTE THE
OWNER'S EXCLUSIVE REMEDY FOR BREACH OF WARRANTY GIVEN UNDER THIS CERTIFICATE.
VINYL WINDOWS & DOORS CORP. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE TO OWNER FOR INCIDENTAL
OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES FOR BREACH OF ANY WRITTEN OR IMPLIED WARRANTY ON
THE WINDOWS OR DOORS.
Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or
consequential damages so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to
you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have
other rights which vary from state to state.
This warranty may be validated by having Registration Certificate signed by
the original Purchaser-Property Owner and the dealer and mailed to Vinyl
Windows & Doors Corp. within thirty (30) days of the completed
installation.
